February 10, 2021 Fishing Report for Monroe County

    Ice fishing has been very good this year with 6” to 8” of ice in most places. Best places to fish hard water right now are Braddock’s Bay and Irondequoit Bay. The fishing the has been good there lately. Anglers are catching Northern Pike and Perch.

    Ice Fishing on Long Pond has been bit slow lately.

    Stream fishing in Linear Park – egg sacs are working well for brown trout and steelhead.

    Genesee River – Steelhead fishing has been good.

    With spring brown trout fishing just around the corner, area charter captains are starting to take reservations for the upcoming Salmon season. Our recommendation is to consider booking you fishing trip early for choice fishing dates.
